The Gresham’s Foundation

The Foundation has been established to strengthen the relationship between the School and the alumni, current and past parents, staff, governors and the local community (the “Gresham’s Community”). The School is developing a sustainable fundraising programme to enable it to enhance the opportunities it is able to offer pupils academically and in the fields of music, sport, art and drama, for which Gresham's is renowned.

Why does Gresham's need a Foundation?

In the past, Gresham's launched appeals to fund new facilities. OGs, parents and many others gave generously to help provide the fine amenities that pupils and staff now enjoy. Although these appeals were successful and proved vital for the growth of the School, they did not build up a lasting relationship between Gresham's and its supporters. Too often donors were forgotten until the next appeal. The Foundation aims to provide much more than bricks and mortar. It wants to support and enhance the unique character and ethos of Gresham’s and reconnect with Old Greshamians and parents past and present. The Foundation aims to remind those who are part of Gresham’s Community of the vital role the School plays in shaping the personalities and values of its pupils to prepare them for a full adult life.
